In general, electric acoustic guitars are acoustic guitars with a preamp and battery. Electric acoustic guitars do not sound like electric guitars when connected to an amp. 

They give a boosted acoustic guitar sound. In other words, the process done here is to increase the signal level of an acoustic guitar through the preamp and send it to the amp.

Unfortunately, you cannot connect the acoustic guitar directly to the speakers. Because acoustic guitars do not produce electrical signals.

You can send your acoustic guitar to a mixer via a microphone and then to the speakers. If your speaker has an XLR input, you can send it directly to the speakers without the need for a mixer. 

Since acoustic guitars do not have an output port, you can send the signal to the speakers through the microphone you place on the body of the guitar.
